Moreover, the current market demand is very large, promising to bring high income.

Mr. Le Trong Nam's family in Lung Binh hamlet is one of the pioneers in raising goats in Nghia Loi commune. He bought 2 goats for 5 million VND to raise. Thanks to his knowledge of how to take care of them, the herd of goats has continuously reproduced and developed, bringing a stable income of 50-60 million VND/year to his family.

He shared: “In the past, my family also raised a lot of livestock, but goats were still the easiest to raise and had the highest income. Fresh food sources did not cost money and could be found around the house. The goats also had few diseases, reproduced quickly, had two litters a year, had favorable output, and relatively stable market prices.”

To create conditions for people to develop the economy and reduce poverty from goats, recently, Nghia Loi commune has also coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and the Agricultural Extension Station of Nghia Dan district to organize training courses on goat raising techniques for farmers in the area.

From the model of raising goats in captivity like Mr. Nam's family, many households have now boldly borrowed capital from social policy banks to invest in raising goats.
