(Baonghean.vn) - Some farms and ranches in Thanh Chuong (Nghe An) organize chicken farming.link. This approach gradually brings practical results.

After the locality implemented the construction of the new rural area and carried out land consolidation, Mr. Phan Van Tham and his wife in Hoa Son hamlet, Thanh Hoa commune (Thanh Chuong) boldly accepted the bid for land in the high hanging area, adding an additional land of nearly 2 hectares at the foot of Na hill adjacent to Phong Thinh commune to build a chicken farm.

With a small initial capital of about 40 million VND, the couple gradually built a farm, bought breeds to raise a flock of local chickens. After two years, when the farm had over 1,000 laying hens, and sold over 20 tons of chicken meat, it was also the time when Thanh Chuong district implemented the project and established the Chicken Breeding Association, moving towards building a collective brand "Thanh Chuong chicken", and Mr. Tham and his wife quickly registered to participate.

Thanks to the initial right step of only raising native chicken breeds such as ri, coc... suitable for market demand, and the orientation of building the Thanh Chuong chicken brand, Mr. Tham's farm was chosen by the Chicken Breeding Association as a breeding connection point.

When the district selected him as a breeding site for native chickens, Mr. Tham continued to invest in a system of barns and incubators; hired veterinary staff and 3 regular workers to care for and multiply the flock.

He also receives 20 million VND from the district each year to build a flock of 300 standard breeding chickens to serve member farms of the Poultry Breeding Association. To ensure quality breeding, he divides the farm into many separate plots to raise broiler chickens and breeding chickens.

Thanks to good implementation of contracts, not only the Poultry Breeding Association guarantees the products, but many other connections also develop together.
