Beekeeping in the Sky of New York
Currently in New York, USA, there are nearly 300 registered beehives as a promise for the honey market in this city.
“If bees disappeared from the face of the earth, humans would only have 4 more years to live,” scientist Albert Einstein once warned, emphasizing the importance of bees to human life.

The United States is currently facing a sharp decline in the number of bees, with the number of honey bees having decreased by nearly half in just one year. Faced with this situation, New Yorkers have come up with a solution to help bees reproduce right in the middle of the city.
On the rooftop of a skyscraper in New York, many beehives in large numbers are being cared for by people. This is the Broadway Bees project to maintain and develop the bee population that is decreasing in the US, due to climate change or chemical abuse. Here, the bees are raised entirely using organic methods.
From this rooftop, the thick honey drops dubbed “caramel gold” were brought to market, and were enthusiastically received by both New Yorkers and tourists.
