Switching from road to air mode is not as simple as pushing a button and requires human intervention, but the process takes less than 10 minutes.

The first limited edition PAL-V will be priced at 499,000 euros ($621,500), with only 90 units being sold. A “Liberty Sport Edition” will follow, with an estimated price of 299,000 dollars. The price includes the cost of a flight lesson.

PAL-V is licensed to fly under the regulations of US and European aviation safety agencies. However, buyers will also need to have a pilot's license.
