Hyundai cars reduced by more than 200 million: The price-cutting race begins
Under pressure from huge price cuts from Japanese and American car manufacturers, Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has also implemented a strong price cut for many car models. In particular, Hyundai's hot car model, Santa Fe, has a reduction of 212 million VND, falling to 898 million VND.
Hyundai Vietnam has just announced the price list of Hyundai cars in March 2018, with a sharp reduction of 20 - 200 million VND.
The model with the biggest price reduction this month from Hyundai Vietnam is the Santa Fe, with a price reduction of more than VND200 million. Specifically, the regular gasoline Santa Fe version is reduced by VND212 million, bringing the retail price at the dealer to VND898 million; the regular diesel Santa Fe version is reduced by VND191 million, bringing the selling price to VND970 million.
The next model with a big discount is the Tucson, with a discount of more than 100 million VND. Of which, the Hyundai Tucson special diesel version has the biggest discount, at 130 million VND. Currently, the price of this version at the dealer is 892 million VND. Other versions are also heavily discounted during this period.

The low-cost car Hyundai Grand i10 also reduced its price by 20 - 40 million VND, depending on the version. In particular, the Grand i10 1.2 MT Base 2017 version reduced by up to 40 million VND.
The sharp price reduction for many Hyundai models is considered a fierce competitive move with other rivals in the Vietnamese market. Because, at the beginning of March, many car manufacturers also implemented extremely attractive discount policies to attract customers and gain market share.
In early March, Honda Vietnam announced the official selling prices for imported cars in 2018. Of which, the Honda CR-V crossover model enjoys a 0% import tax incentive, so the selling price will be reduced by 178-188 million VND compared to the first batch imported at the end of December last year.

In early March, Chevrolet Vietnam also launched a discount program for many car models currently sold in the Vietnamese market, with discounts ranging from 10-80 million VND/car.
Not to be outdone, this March, Japanese car manufacturer Toyota also implemented a discount policy for some of its car models in the Vietnamese market. According to the latest Toyota car price list for March 2018 at Toyota dealers in Hanoi, the company's three most popular car models, Toyota Vios, Corolla Altis and Toyota Innova, are all discounted from 10-30 million VND.Thus, after a long wait, the first fully imported cars from the ASEAN region exempted from import tax have arrived in Vietnam. In the coming time, consumers will have more choices of imported cars, enjoying a 0% tax rate, in addition to domestically assembled cars with attractive prices. This promises to bring about an interesting competition between car manufacturers in the Vietnamese car market.
