Luxury cars reduced by 150 million, European cars cleared inventory
Old generation Peugeot 3008 cars are being liquidated for only 959 million VND, 150 million VND cheaper than the previous selling price.
In the Vietnamese market, the Peugeot 3008 car model was first introduced by Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) in 2015 but received much attention from consumers.
In July last year, the new generation Peugeot 3008 was launched, with many amenities compared to its competitors. At the time of launch, Peugeot 3008 had a price of up to 1.11 billion VND.

Currently, the Peugeot 3008 FL (old model) is discounted by dealers by up to 150 million VND, bringing the price of the car down to only 959 million VND.
Peugeot 3008 is positioned in the 5-seat crossover segment. In the Vietnamese market, Peugeot 3008 has to "fight" with "tough" competitors such as: Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5 and Nissan X-Trail.
With the liquidation price of “stock” remaining at only 959 million VND, the price of the old Peugeot 3008 is now 10 million VND less than the new Mazda CX-5 2.5L 2WD. Both models are currently assembled by Truong Hai.
The price of Peugeot 3008 is currently on par with some other competitors in the 5-seat CUV segment. The price of Hyundai Tucson 2017 currently ranges from 750-880 million VND); Kia Sorento 2017 currently ranges from 789-939 million VND; Hyundai Santa Fe 2017 ranges from 898 million VND - 1.07 billion VND); Mazda CX-5 ranges from 869-999 million VND.
The race to reduce car prices in the Vietnamese car market is very fierce. Many new car models have been launched, with attractive designs and very competitive prices. Many old car models are also being reduced in price to clear inventory and gain market share.
Kia Vietnam has just announced new promotional prices for the DAT, GATH and GATH old-style versions of the Rondo line, with a reduction of 40-55 million VND. According to car experts, the price reduction for Rondo this time is a move to push out Kia Vietnam's inventory. This MPV model is quite sluggish, there are still unsold 2015 cars left.
At the end of November 2017, Isuzu dealers implemented a promotion program, offering huge discounts to customers who bought Isuzu D-Max pickup trucks with manual transmission 4x2 and 4x4, manufactured in 2016.
Specifically, the Isuzu D-Max 4x4, manufactured in 2016, currently priced at 710 million VND, will be reduced by 210 million VND, bringing the car's price down to 500 million VND. With the Isuzu D-Max 4x2 manufactured in 2016, the 2017 model priced at 660 million VND will receive a discount of up to 175 million VND, bringing the car's price down to only 485 million VND, becoming the cheapest pickup truck in Vietnam today.
