    TUAN ANH CANNOT PLAY TODAY

The star midfielder of HAGL Club will not be able to participate when Vietnam Olympic team plays Macau Olympic team today. According to VnExpress, Tuan Anh has a torn thigh muscle. This player wearing number 8 shirt was not even included in the list of players registered for the match by coach Toshiya Miura.

Losing Tuan Anh (left) and Huy Toan (middle) due to injury, Vietnam Olympic team lost two important finishing options from the second line. Photo: Duc Dong.

In the match against Olympic Japan on March 29, Coach Miura let Tuan Anh sit on the bench for the entire match, in order to help him return to his best form for today's match. He had hoped that the midfielder's high-up attacks and long-range shots would bring a steel punch from the middle of the field when Olympic Vietnam needed to score many goals to compete with the other second-place teams in the group.

The absence of Tuan Anh is therefore a big loss for the Vietnam Olympic team.

"You need to forget the defeat against Olympic Japan, there is nothing left to regret, our goal is the match against Olympic Macau. I want to see you play a beautiful and effective match," Mr. Miura instructed and motivated the players before the training session yesterday afternoon, March 30.

"We cannot underestimate Macau, they are not easy to bully," Mr. Miura commented on his opponents. "Our goal is to compete for a ticket among the five best second-placed teams. Therefore, we have to try our best, score many goals and wait."

Meanwhile, Macau coach Tam Iao San appeared quite relaxed before the final match. This coach said: "My players have little time to play together, we came here with the goal of learning and trying to play well in each match."

Macau was definitely eliminated after two losses so they did not have a good preparation for this match. Yesterday, while the Vietnamese Olympic team was busy practicing on the field, the Macau players were released from camp to go shopping. However, the Macau players cannot be underestimated when they showed dangerous counter-attacks in the match against Macau. A relaxed mentality can also be a dangerous weapon for the students of Coach Tam Iao San.
