Thank God the taxi company misunderstood the terrorists' intentions.
(Baonghean.vn) – The number of casualties in the double bombing at Zaventem airport on March 22 could have been much higher if the taxi company's customer call center had followed the terrorists' orders...
What would have happened if all the explosives found in the Schaerbeek raid had been shipped to Zaventem International Airport? That would have been an unthinkable outcome.

According to DH, the terrorists called the taxi company’s customer service center and asked for a pickup truck to take them to Zaventem airport. Fortunately, the taxi company mistakenly sent a car. Perhaps thanks to that, the terrorists were not able to take all the explosives they had prepared.
As evidence, during the raid that took place on the evening of March 22, the police found many devices in the Schaerbeek area, including a fourth bomb with very high lethality. The bomb disposal team had to work extremely carefully to defuse the bomb.
A third bomb was also found and defused at Zaventem airport. If detonated, it could have blown up the rest of the airport terminal.
Belgian prosecutors said that the taxi driver who picked up the three attackers at the airport helped authorities quickly find the suspects’ home, where they found “15 kg of TATP explosives, 30 liters of hydrogen peroxide, a detonator, a suitcase full of nails, several fans and other equipment.”
In its announcement, the Belgian prosecutor said that 31 people were killed and 270 injured in the attacks. But this number could rise in the next few hours because many of the injuries were very serious.
