The pregnant woman Nguyen Ngoc Ly (28 years old, living in Hamlet 12, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City) did not have time to get to the hospital so she gave birth in a taxi and her husband, Hoang Dinh Thong, became the "midwife" who helped his wife give birth successfully.

Immediately after the information was posted and shared on social networks, many people thought that Mr. Hoang Dinh Thong was a "supernatural" father, "the best of the year" and the taxi driver who transported the pregnant woman was a "lucky" person.

After the "both happy and nervous" moments of helping his wife give birth, Mr. Hoang Dinh Thong said: "The previous two times my wife (Nguyen Ngoc Ly) had difficult births, from labor to birth it took a long time.

On the morning of September 23, my wife went to work and came home almost noon. When she got home, she said she had a stomachache, but because her due date had not come yet, she did not think it was labor pains, so I remained calm and encouraged her to eat so she could go to the doctor in the afternoon. When the pain became more severe, I called a taxi to take her there..."

Getting in the car, my wife's pain became more intense and the taxi still hadn't reached the hospital. I told my wife to hold on but she couldn't so I had to let her lie down. At this time, my daughter started to come out, I quickly caught her head and shouted "wife, hold on".

My wife was in pain, the baby’s head was sticking out, I was afraid that the baby would suffocate, so I kept reaching down to catch the baby… Luckily, as soon as the baby was born, the car arrived at the hospital. When we got there, the driver stopped the car, slammed the door and ran to call the doctor. Seeing the doctor rushing out, the baby cried loudly, everyone gathered around to watch… That feeling is hard to describe.”

Mr. Hoang Dinh Thong happily shared: “The baby was born weighing 3.2kg. After being taken care of by doctors and nurses at Nghe An General Hospital 115, both mother and baby are in good health. On the evening of September 23, both mother and baby went home to rest. The baby was named Hoang Gia Nhi.”

Mr. Nguyen Nhat said: "At noon on September 23, I received information from the switchboard so I drove back to that address. When I got to the gate, I only heard crying. When I got there, I saw my wife lying down. I vaguely understood, I asked "Are you going to give birth?", the husband nodded and helped his wife stand up and go to the car. When the wife stood up, she saw water running all over the house; the women in the house said her water had broken... At that moment, I didn't have time to think, I ran to the car, took a plastic sheet and spread it on the back seat, then helped my husband put his wife in the car.

The car started, the wife kept crying out in pain. After a while, I heard her cry out "It's out, it's out". At this time, the husband was sitting next to the driver's seat, sweating profusely. I said "It seems like my wife has given birth"; the husband leaned back, put his hand on the baby's head, and kept saying "Hold on, wife, hold on, wife". At that time, whenever I saw the nearest hospital, I would rush in.

Nhat smiled and confided: “I have taken many women to give birth, but this is the first time in 3 years of working as a taxi driver that I have encountered a woman giving birth right in my car. I must say that at that time I was very nervous, only thinking about driving safely, keeping a steady speed so as not to affect the mother and the baby.
