At around 7:00 a.m. on August 15, Mr. Mua Va Chong (residing in Lu Thanh village, Tay Son commune, Ky Son) used a lawn mower in his family's garden.
Suddenly, the lawn mower blade flew out, cutting through the stomach of Mr. Chong's granddaughter named Mua Y Tong (born 2014), who was standing about 30 meters away.

Seeing the child's stomach bleeding profusely and two pieces of intestines ruptured, Mr. Chong was so panicked that he used a needle and thread to sew the child's stomach back together and then took him to the Ky Son District Medical Center for emergency care.
According to information from Ky Son District Medical Center, Mua Y Tong was transferred to the emergency room with a pale face due to excessive blood loss, and low pulse and blood pressure.
After about 20 minutes of first aid, the pulse and blood pressure returned to normal. The victim has now been transferred to the Southwest Regional General Hospital for treatment.
