(Baonghean) - Pride in hometown products and the desire to bring safe Vietnamese specialties to everyone is the driving force that motivated 9X guy Bui Dang Phuong to successfully build the company that produces and distributes Tu Phuong sour sausage and regional specialties across the country.

Chance becomes career

At only 27 years old, Bui Dang Phuong already owns a business that many young people dream of: a clean fermented pork roll production facility in Thanh Hoa, along with a chain of 19 mini-supermarket stores selling Tu Phuong fermented pork rolls and other regional specialties (there are currently 7 stores in Nghe An alone).

The story of starting a business and the journey to spread the specialty of clean nem chua to Phuong was truly fate. He was born into a poor family in Minh Son commune, Do Luong. To help his parents, since entering university, Bui Dang Phuong has tried to do many jobs but the income was not much; there was even a time when he lost tens of millions of dong. Fate came to Phuong when a friend from the nem chua hometown of Tao Xuyen, Thanh Hoa introduced him. Realizing that this specialty would be popular with consumers in Vinh city, Phuong traveled to Tao Xuyen to learn about the production process and find a reputable facility to order from.

After having the source of goods, every day, he was present at the gate of the brewery from 3am to sell spring rolls. He persistently promoted the trial for customers, and at the same time advertised the product to all the restaurants and beer bars in the city... The delicious Thanh specialty "retained" many customers. The number of regular customers increased day by day, peaking in the summer, when he earned 30-40 million VND/month.

After many years of struggling with many jobs, Phuong realized that business is his passion and strength even though he studied Industrial Electricity at Vinh Technical University. After graduating, in addition to continuing to sell nem chua, he borrowed capital and learned the recipe to open the restaurant "Lau Tu Phuong" on Nguyen Kiem Street, Vinh City. The restaurant is very "attractive" to young people in Vinh City and creates part-time jobs for 5-7 students.

The journey from a poor student, struggling with many jobs to make a living, to becoming the owner of a company producing spring rolls and distributing prestigious regional specialties throughout the country; with a revenue of tens of billions of dong each year, creating jobs for nearly 150 workers with a good income... is a testament to the determination and will of a young person who dares to face failure and strives to change himself, to keep up with the times.

The passion for business urged the young man to continue investing in new fields. He founded Gia Bao Fashion Company Limited, specializing in designing and tailoring men's fashion. However, fierce market competition made his business difficult. The 9X man tried to overcome it by renewing himself and his business. "I believe in the business philosophy of being different or dying and if you want your business to be successful, you must enrich your own value first."With that mindset, he had a new direction, overcame difficulties and made breakthroughs. He changed direction, specializing in tailoring suits and uniforms; targeting office workers and units and businesses. Thanks to that, Gia Bao fashion brand has increasingly stood firm and developed strongly in the Nghe An market.

Production and distribution of clean fermented pork rolls

Starting from 2015, from the point of linking up with the distribution of goods, Bui Dang Phuong decided to implement a new business idea; cooperating with the owner of a traditional nem chua production facility, expanding the scale and building a production model according to clean processes. He invested in a modern machinery system, combined with traditional production, bought 2 refrigerated trucks to transport goods, and opened a system of stores to distribute products that met food safety standards.

The demand for clean food of the people is increasing, so the product of clean sour sausage Tu Phuong quickly dominates the market. Bui Dang Phuong is also active in developing online sales channels and promoting products at businesses, hotels providing gifts and serving tourists... Thanks to that, after just over 1 year of development, Tu Phuong Company has expanded its distribution network to 8 provinces and cities across the country.

To meet market demand, the company has increased its scale from 2 workers to nearly 30 workers producing spring rolls on a clean production line; capacity reaches over 15,000 pieces/day. At the same time, expanding links with reputable production facilities, diversifying specialty products distributed at stores such as: Do Luong rice paper, Ha Tinh cu do, Cu Hoi fish sauce, Tu Tru sticky rice cake...

Always upholding the core value of quality, regional specialty products with the Tu Phuong brand "natural fragrance" are increasingly trusted by customers. Sharing about the development orientation, the young Director said: "Implementing the business philosophy of your health is the responsibility and development of the enterprise, so we continue to perfect the model of producing nem chua according to clean processes. At the same time, expand the chain of clean specialty stores across the provinces and cities with a variety of regional specialties".
