With 99% of the votes counted, Mr. Trump received 40.8% of the votes, followed by Texas Senator Ted Cruz with 40.7% of the votes, Ohio Governor John Kasich with 10.1% and Florida Senator Marco Rubio with 6.1%.
This is Mr. Trump's fourth victory on the second "Super Tuesday" election day. Previously, Mr. Trump won in the states of Florida, North Carolina, Illinois and only "stumbled" once in the home state of Ohio, the home state of his opponent John Kasich.
MSNBC reported that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of the Democratic Party continued to win the primary election held on March 15 in the state of Missouri to select the party's candidate to run for president in November.
With 99% of the votes counted, Mrs. Clinton received 49.6% of the votes, while Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders received 49.4%.
This is Mrs. Clinton's fifth consecutive victory on the second "Super Tuesday" election day. Previously, the former First Lady of the United States won in all four states: Florida, North Carolina, Illinois and Ohio.
