Mr. Dinh La Thang apologizes to the Party and people

Mr. Dinh La Thang, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, former Secretary of the City Party Committee, spoke at the Conference announcing the Politburo's decision to assign the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on the morning of May 10.

He congratulated Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan on his new responsibility. As a person who grew up in the city, he has a deep understanding of the city and once held the position of Vice Chairman of the city. "Comrade, when he was in the Central Committee, he was an exemplary and model cadre, always fulfilling the assigned responsibilities, bringing the city to rapid development, worthy of being the city's locomotive."

He also thanked the Party Committee, government and people of the city for supporting him and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the people of the city in their efforts to implement the City Party Committee's resolutions.

"I have seriously reviewed the responsibility of the head of PVN and accepted the disciplinary action of the Central Committee. The decision of the Central Committee is reasonable and demonstrates high unity and solidarity. I will seriously comply and apologize to the Party, the people and the government. I sincerely apologize and hope that the Party, the government and the people will sympathize and share, allowing me to complete the assigned tasks.

I hope that the Party Committee, the government and the people of the city will consider me as a son of the city, and that no matter what position I hold, I will contribute to the city. I wish comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan, the Party Committee, the government and the people good health, happiness and success," Mr. Thang expressed.
