On the morning of June 16, the management of Tran Yich Tan gave an explanation for the singer's behavior. The representative said that when Tran Yich Tan was present at the 2018 World Cup, many Chinese audiences recognized him. They came to take pictures, congratulate him, causing chaos in the corner of the stands. Some foreign audiences were not happy about this.
“Chan Yicun tried to step in and mediate, asking fans not to push or take photos. But this action caused a foreign man to misunderstand. He raised his middle finger and scolded Chan Yicun. Chan Yicun was so angry that he did the same thing,” this person said.
"Chan Yich Tan believes that no matter the circumstances, foreigners should not have such an impolite attitude towards Chinese people," the manager said.
The management also said that since June 12, Tran Dich Tan has been in Russia to watch the 2018 World Cup. The male singer is famous for being a football lover and used to play the position of goalkeeper.

However, on social media, Chinese public opinion believes that behaving rudely is unacceptable under any circumstances. They criticize the 44-year-old singer for being hot-tempered and lacking control in his behavior.
Chan Yich Tan was born in 1974 in Hong Kong, and is hailed by the media as the god of Chinese music, replacing Jacky Cheung.
The male singer was once known as the first Chinese artist to carry the torch at both the Winter and Summer Olympic Games in 2008 and 2009.
