Hanoi Party Secretary Hoang Trung Hai, during his tenure as a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, committed violations and shortcomings when giving some instructions on the TISCO 2 project.

From December 4-6, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 41st meeting. Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu chaired the meeting.

The Central Inspection Committee has reviewed and concluded the inspection when there were signs of violations against the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam Steel Corporation.

According to the Central Inspection Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam Steel Corporation was irresponsible, lax in leadership, direction, inspection and supervision, allowing the Corporation to commit many serious violations and shortcomings in implementing the second phase of the production expansion project - Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Company (TISCO 2 project), causing very serious consequences, causing great damage to the State's money and assets, many related cadres and party members were criminally prosecuted, causing outrage in society.

Former Party Committee Secretaries and former Board of Directors of Vietnam Steel Corporation: Nguyen Kim Son and Dang Thuc Khang are responsible as leaders for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee Standing Committee.

Former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, former General Director Le Phu Hung and member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Steel Corporation Trinh Khoi Nguyen are jointly responsible for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee Standing Committee and personal responsibility in performing assigned duties and tasks.

Former Party Secretary, former Chairman of the Board of Directors Mai Van Tinh; former Deputy Party Secretary, former General Director of Vietnam Steel Corporation Dau Van Hung and Mr. Tran Van Kham, former Party Secretary, former Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Tran Trong Mung, former Party Secretary, former General Director; Mr. Ngo Sy Han, former member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, former Deputy General Director of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Company are primarily and directly responsible for the violations and shortcomings in the implementation of the TISCO 2 project.

Along with the above mentioned collectives and individuals, through inspection, the Central Inspection Committee found that:

The Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade was irresponsible, lax in leadership, direction, inspection, and supervision, allowing the Ministry of Industry and Trade to commit many violations and shortcomings in performing its state management function for the TISCO 2 project.

Mr. Vu Huy Hoang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister (2007 - 2016) is primarily responsible for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; former members of the Party Committee, former Deputy Ministers: Le Duong Quang, Do Huu Hao are also responsible for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and personal responsibility in performing assigned duties and tasks.

Mr. Hoang Trung Hai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, during his tenure as a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, committed violations and shortcomings when giving some instructions on the TISCO 2 project.

Former Deputy Heads of the Government Office: Van Trong Ly, Nguyen Huu Vu and Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, former Deputy Head of the Industry Economic Department, Mr. Do Canh Duong, General Director of the General Department of Geology and Minerals, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, former officials of the Government Office committed violations and shortcomings in advising Government leaders to give direction and opinions on the TISCO 2 project.

According to the Central Inspection Commission, the violations of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam Steel Corporation, the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the above-mentioned officials have negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization, to the point that disciplinary action must be considered.
