North Korean media on December 9 released images of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un climbing Mount Paektu, along with senior officials in the North Korean military and government.
The Korean Central News Agency and other North Korean news agencies and newspapers published images of North Korean President Kim Jong-un on top of Mount Paektu, the highest mountain in North Korea with an altitude of 2,744 m.
In December, Kim Jong-un's activities are expected to take place in the northern provinces of North Korea, along the Baekdu Mountains, because these places are associated with the name of Kim Jong-suk, the wife of North Korean President Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-un's grandmother.
