Mr. Le Hong Quang and Mr. Nguyen Van Tien were approved by the National Assembly as Supreme People's Court Judges on the morning of June 19.
The National Assembly approved the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on the appointment of two Supreme People's Court judges by secret ballot.

The two candidates voted for are Mr. Le Hong Quang (born in 1968) - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Tien (born in 1966) - Senior Judge, Deputy Chief Justice of the High People's Court in Hanoi.
Vote counting results: Mr. Le Hong Quang had 387/465 delegates present in agreement (accounting for 78.81% of the total number of delegates), Mr. Nguyen Van Tien had 421/465 delegates present in agreement (accounting for 85.74% of the total number of delegates).
The National Assembly voted to pass a Resolution approving the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on the appointment of two Supreme People's Court Judges, Mr. Le Hong Quang and Mr. Nguyen Van Tien./.
