Mr. Medvedev spoke about the risk of a full-scale war in the Middle East.
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said that a full-scale war in the Middle East is the path to a fragile peace in the region.

According to RIA Novosti on August 1, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that a full-scale war in the Middle East is the path to fragile peace in the region.
“The knot in the Middle East is tightening. I am very sorry for the innocent victims. Meanwhile, it is clear to everyone that a full-scale war is the only way to a fragile peace in the region,” Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
All innocent victims of the conflict in the region are "American hostages," Mr. Medvedev added.
On July 31, the Hamas movement reported the death of Commander Ismail Haniyeh, after an Israeli attack on his residence in the capital Tehran, when he came to attend the inauguration of the new Iranian President.
Hamas blamed Israel and the United States for the death of Commander Haniyeh and said it would respond.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said he had nothing to say about the death of the Hamas commander and Israel's involvement in this story. On the Israeli side, a representative of the army said they "do not respond to media reports" about the murder of Commander Haniyeh. The Jerusalem Post wrote that the Israeli government has instructed ministers not to speak out about the murder of the Hamas leader.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov called Haniyeh's death “a completely unacceptable political murder” that threatens further escalation in the region.
