Mr. Nguyen Ba Canh has submitted a resignation letter from his duties as a delegate of the People's Council of Da Nang City.
On July 6, according to a source from Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Ba Canh (Delegate of the Da Nang City People's Council, former member of the City Party Committee, former Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee) submitted a resignation letter from his duties as a delegate of the Da Nang City People's Council, term IX, 2016 - 2021.

Mr. Canh is the son of the late Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Ba Thanh.
According to the above source, based on Mr. Canh's application to resign from his duties as a delegate of the Da Nang City People's Council and the Law on Organization of Local Government, considering that the reason for Mr. Canh's request to resign from his position as a delegate of the City People's Council is in accordance with regulations, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council agreed to submit it at the meeting on July 9 for the Da Nang City People's Council to decide.
Previously, on May 14, the Secretariat met to consider and discipline Mr. Nguyen Ba Canh.
After reviewing the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee in report No. 193 dated May 6, the Secretariat found that during his tenure as a member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union, and Standing Deputy Head of the Da Nang City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Mr. Canh lived with another person as a married couple and had a child while he was married, violating moral qualities and lifestyle.
The Secretariat believes that Mr. Canh violated the regulations of the Central Executive Committee on what party members are not allowed to do; the regulations of the Secretariat and the Da Nang City Party Committee on the responsibility of setting an example for cadres and party members, especially key leaders and heads at all levels.
The Secretariat also affirmed that during the review process, Mr. Canh clearly recognized his mistakes and shortcomings and accepted disciplinary action.
The authorities have reviewed and concluded that the nature, level of violations and shortcomings of Mr. Canh are serious, negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization, the working agency and Mr. Canh himself, and that strict disciplinary measures must be applied according to Party regulations.
Based on the Politburo's regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party members; considering the content, nature, level, consequences of the violation and Mr. Canh's working process, the Secretariat decided to discipline Mr. Canh by removing him from all positions in the Party.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Canh (36 years old, from Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang), has a master's degree in business administration. He graduated from Da Nang University of Economics and then studied abroad. After a period of studying abroad, Mr. Canh returned to work in Da Nang city.
On February 4, 2013, the Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Youth Union held an extraordinary meeting and elected Mr. Canh as Secretary of the City Youth Union with 100% of the votes, replacing Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, who was appointed by the Da Nang City Party Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Lien Chieu District Party Committee.
After 5 years as Secretary of the City Youth Union, on August 16, 2017, the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to transfer Mr. Canh to stop being Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee.
Mr. Canh is currently a delegate of the 9th Da Nang City People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.
