Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang was elected President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On the afternoon of July 28, the 4th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (12th term) conducted the election of additional members to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; additional members to the Presidium; election of the position of President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; and additional members to the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

With 100% of votes in agreement, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, was officially elected to hold the position of President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to replace Mr. Bui Van Cuong, who was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2015 - 2020 term.

Previously, the Conference elected 12 additional members to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2018-2023 term.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor received 100% of votes in favor of being elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and a member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On July 21, on behalf of the Politburo, Mr. Ha Ban - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, announced the Politburo's decisions on the removal of Mr. Bui Van Cuong, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, from the position of Party Secretary, and announced the Politburo's decision on Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee, from the position of Party Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2015 - 2020 term; and the transfer and appointment to hold the position of Party Secretary of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2018 - 2023 term.
