Mr. Nguyen Van The holds the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc.
On the afternoon of October 21, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on the transfer and assignment of comrade Nguyen Van The, member of the Party Central Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc for the 2020-2025 term. Comrade Truong Thi Mai, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission attended the conference.
Previously, on the morning of October 21, continuing the 4th Session, the 15th National Assembly dismissed Mr. Nguyen Van The from his position as Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term. With 459/463 delegates present in agreement (accounting for 92.17% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), the National Assembly passed a Resolution approving the dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Van The from his position as Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.

Regarding the National Assembly's consideration and approval of the dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Van The from the position of Minister of Transport, at the press conference on the expected agenda of the 4th Session of the 15th National Assembly on October 17, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that since the beginning of the term until now as well as during the 14th term, Mr. Nguyen Van The and the collective leadership of the Ministry of Transport have well implemented the tasks assigned by the Party, State, Government and National Assembly. Up to now, according to his personal wishes and the assignment of competent authorities, the Prime Minister has submitted to the National Assembly for approval of the dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Van The from the position of Minister of Transport.
Mr. Nguyen Van The was born in 1966, from Dong Thap, is a doctor of traffic engineering science. He is an alternate member of the 11th Party Central Committee; a member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee; a delegate of the 14th National Assembly. He has held the positions of Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Minister of Transport; Secretary of Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee; Minister of Transport.
