(Baonghean.vn) - The Korean coach insisted that he had not mentioned any amount of money when negotiating a contract extension with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), while Hanoi took the top spot from Ho Chi Minh City when they won 2-1 in their away match against Hai Phong on the afternoon of July 8.

"My representative has only met with VFF once. But when I follow the Korean and Vietnamese press, I see many articles that are baseless and predict in a negative way," coach Park Hang-seo said on the afternoon of July 8, before the first training session of U22 Vietnam in Hung Yen. "I hope Vietnamese fans understand what I mean. My representative and I have never mentioned any amount of money. I am very afraid that fans will misunderstand about the salary issue."
Faced with recent inaccurate information reported by the media, Coach Park Hang-seo plans to work with his representative to provide official information to fans by writing his own press release.

"From now on, if there is any meeting between me and VFF, my representative will have a press release in English to send to the media," the Korean coach added. "I hope the media will rely on that to report accurate news to fans."
Hanoi beat Hai Phong
Ho Chi Minh City fell to Viettel, giving Hanoi a chance to take the top spot as the gap was only two points. Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem and his team did not miss the opportunity when they defeated Hai Phong to return to the number one position on the scoreboard.

The reigning V-League champions opened the scoring early in the 13th minute with a precise header from Van Quyet after a cross from Van Kien.
Thanks to Van Quyet's early goal, Hanoi played more comfortably in the remaining time. They did not attack in a big way but kept the ball firmly, passing it around in short distances to find a way to approach the opponent's goal. On the other side of the battle line, Hai Phong played in a deadlock.The second half had just started 3 minutes when Hai Phong unexpectedly scored an equalizer. But the joy of Hai Phong fans only lasted for a minute. Right in the corner kick situation after that, Hanoi regained the lead. The home team's defender missed the header, the ball reached Omar about a meter from the goal and he easily scored. The result of 2-1 was enough for Hanoi to take the top spot. The current V-League champion has 28 points after 14 matches, one point more than Ho Chi Minh City.
Messi could be banned from playing for Argentina for two years
In a statement released yesterday, July 7, CONMEBOL expressed dissatisfaction with Lionel Messi's recent comments.

According to South American media, Messi will face many penalties. CONMEBOL regulations prohibit insulting this organization as well as its members.
If that happens, Messi will not be able to participate in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers as well as the 2020 Copa America - an event co-hosted in Argentina and Colombia.
