Mr. Park will face new 'opponents' in the second leg of the World Cup qualifiers.
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, both Indonesia and the UAE simultaneously announced new head coaches for their national teams. This promises that the second round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers for Coach Park Hang-seo and his team will be much more difficult.
Recently, the Indonesian press reported that the Indonesian Football Federation has decided to appoint South Korean Shin Tae-yong as the head coach of the Indonesian national team. Previously, they fired coach Simon McMenemy due to poor performance in the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. Shin Tae-yong will officially be introduced to Indonesian fans at a ceremony held on January 25.
There is another Korean teacher
Mr. Shin Tae-yong is a very famous person in Korean football both as a player and a coach. As a player, he won the K League 1 championship six times with Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma Club and won the AFC Champions League once in 1995.
When he switched to coaching, he helped Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma win the AFC Champions League in 2010 and led the Korean team to win the East Asian Cup in 2017. Recently, at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, coach Shin Tae-yong and the Korean team defeated Germany with a score of 2-0, officially eliminating the defending champion from the tournament.

Looking at the U22 Indonesian players competing at the 30th SEA Games, the people of the land of Ten Thousand Dao believe that if they have an experienced coach, the national team of this country will play on par with the Vietnamese team.
World Cup 2022 qualifiers will be more tense
With the UAE, their goal is to top Group G. After the UAE was eliminated from the 2019 Gulf Cup and had poor results in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, coach Bert van Marwijk was fired. Serbian coach Ivan Jovanovic was chosen by the country's Football Federation to replace him.
Since the second leg of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers will resume at the end of March 2020, the country's Football Federation has prioritized understanding of UAE and continental football when selecting a coach. In fact, coach Jovanovc led UAE Pro League team Al Nasr in the UAE President's Cup and UAE Federation Cup in addition to the 2014 GCC Championship and the 2016 AFC Champions League quarter-finals.

The 57-year-old has also enjoyed success in Cyprus, having won four league titles with APOEL. Jovanovic's main task will of course be to lead the UAE in the Asian Qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. With only 6 points from 4 matches, the 5-point gap with Vietnam, the team at the top of the table, can be completely narrowed or even surpassed.
The UAE, currently in fourth place, will host Malaysia in Group H at home on March 26 before facing Indonesia five days later. The team will conclude their campaign against Thailand and Vietnam in June.
With only having to meet Indonesia on away ground, while playing against Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam at home, the UAE Football Federation believes they can completely win to top the group.
The fact that both Indonesia and UAE are playing together makes the situation in Group G of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers more unpredictable. In the future, Southeast Asian tournaments, specifically the 2020 AFF Cup, will be more competitive, and Vietnamese football will grow rapidly after such clashes.
