Recently, the Indonesian press reported that the Indonesian Football Federation has decided to appoint South Korean Shin Tae-yong as the head coach of the Indonesian national team. Previously, they fired coach Simon McMenemy due to poor performance in the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. Shin Tae-yong will officially be introduced to Indonesian fans at a ceremony held on January 25.
