(Baonghean.vn) - On September 3, Iran's Merh news agency reported that Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov on September 2 affirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts the plot of anti-Syrian countries to stage a chemical attack in a Syrian city and then blame President Assad.

Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said in an interview that Russian leader Vladimir Putin may discuss provocative moves to use chemical weapons in Syria during the trilateral Russia-Turkey-Iran summit taking place in Tehran on September 7.
“This issue, all aspects of the Syrian settlement and points of aggravation of the situation will be discussed,” Ushakov told Izvestiya newspaper when asked whether the issue of chemical weapons provocations would be on the agenda of the upcoming summit.
According to the source, President Putin will also hold separate meetings with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Last weekend, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Putin and Erdogan would hold a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Iran-Russia-Turkey summit on Syria in Tehran.
Speculation about a possible chemical attack in Syria has been rife in recent weeks after Russian officials warned of a plot to carry out such an attack to provoke Western retaliation against the Syrian government.
On August 25, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov confirmed that terrorists from the Tahrir al-Sham gang (linked to the Jabhat Nusra terrorist organization) were preparing to carry out provocations in Idlib province in western Syria to accuse Syrian government forces of using chemical weapons against civilians.
