Mr. Putin and Mr. Trump will meet at a military base in Anchorage.
According to CNN, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump will meet at a military base in Anchorage.

According to RIA Novosti on August 13, CNN channel reported, referring to two sources in the White House, that the summit between the Russian and US Presidents will be held at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage.
“Only the Elmendorf-Richardson Joint Base on the northern outskirts of the city meets the requirements for a historic meeting, although the White House hopes to avoid a situation where the Russian leader and his delegation will encounter the territory of the US military facility,” CNN said.
According to this American TV channel, the summit of the two countries' leaders will be held there.
Additionally, the choice of other summit locations is limited, as Alaska is currently in the height of its tourist season.
According to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, leaders Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will focus on discussing options for achieving a lasting peaceful solution to the Ukraine crisis.
Following the announcement of the upcoming Russia-US summit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he would not make territorial concessions. Mr. Zelensky even called the summit in Alaska a “personal victory” for Mr. Putin.
The Ukrainian leader also described the summit as “a way out of Russia’s isolation”, with Moscow avoiding new sanctions from Washington.
