According to the same source, the two leaders also agreed to discuss the issue of gas supply within the framework of the summit in Milan, Italy, on October 16-17.

Previously, Russia's Gazprom oil and gas giant cut off gas supplies to Ukraine in June after Kyiv failed to pay its gas debts. Europe imports one-third of its gas needs from Russia, with about half of that being routed through Ukraine.
