Mr. Thuan Huu concurrently holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.
On the afternoon of December 6, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda Department held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on assigning comrade Thuan Huu (Nguyen Huu Thuan), member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, to concurrently hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Central Propaganda Department attended and delivered speeches.
On behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat, presenting the Politburo's decision, comrade Pham Minh Chinh stated that, in order to continue strengthening propaganda and press communication work in the new situation, the Politburo has decided to assign comrade Thuan Huu to concurrently hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.
This is a difficult task, in the context that the Central Propaganda Department is facing many challenges in propaganda work, press management, publishing, culture, arts, science-technology, education-training and a number of other fields.
Comrade Pham Minh Chinh believes that with his qualifications, capacity, experience and the trust and support of his colleagues, Comrade Thuan Huu will continue to demonstrate his ability and courage, and excellently complete the tasks entrusted to him by the Politburo.
Affirming that the decision to assign comrade Thuan Huu to concurrently hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department is a great sharing and support from the Politburo and the Secretariat for the Party's propaganda work, comrade Vo Van Thuong believes that with his leadership experience and knowledge accumulated through his working positions, comrade Thuan Huu will continue to demonstrate his ability and mettle, and excellently complete the tasks entrusted to him by the Politburo.
Expressing his emotion at being entrusted by the Politburo and the Secretariat to take on the new task, comrade Thuan Huu hopes to continue receiving the attention and support of the Politburo, the Secretariat, comrades and colleagues to successfully complete the tasks in the assigned positions./.
