Mr. Tran Xuan Quang: Effectively monitor urgent and prominent issues

(Baonghean) - Mr. Tran Xuan Quang - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghi Loc district; candidate for the Provincial People's Council delegate in constituency No. 22, Nghi Loc district.

As a cadre who has grown up through union activities and has held many positions, being nominated as a candidate for the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term in this election is a great opportunity for me to use my experience to contribute to innovation, improve the quality of the Provincial People's Council's activities as well as solve practical problems.

If I am elected by voters as a representative of the Provincial People's Council this time, I am determined that I need to focus on performing well the following tasks:

First: Arrange time scientifically to fulfill the responsibilities of a people's representative; regularly meet and grasp the aspirations of voters through various channels; strictly implement contact with voters before and after meetings; listen to and understand the thoughts and aspirations of voters to promptly reflect them at meetings and forward them to competent authorities for resolution; for important and difficult issues, it is necessary to thoroughly understand the issues, and spend a lot of time following up on the work, urging solutions to achieve results, including issues that must be reflected over many meetings.

Second: Perform well the role of a People's Council delegate; actively participate in speaking and questioning at the meeting, especially not avoiding hot issues, if that is the legitimate aspiration of the people. I will also actively study and research to improve my qualifications, meet the requirements of the task; increase access to and grasp of local socio-economic issues to give opinions and vote on important issues at the meeting, contributing to improving the quality of the meetings.

Third: In my position as Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee, if elected as a delegate to the Provincial People's Council, I will combine the supervisory function of a people's representative with the supervisory and social criticism function of the Fatherland Front; focus on issues that people are concerned about such as: Land, environment, food hygiene and safety, quality of goods and agricultural materials; implementation of social policies... Thereby, there will be requests and recommendations for competent authorities to handle; at the same time, through supervision, I will contribute to administrative reform, fight against negativity and harassment in order to build clean and strong governments at all levels to serve the people better and better.

Fourth: Promote the role of people's representatives in conjunction with the role of the head of the Fatherland Front organization in the district; build and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, unite and gather social components, religions and people of all walks of life; actively mobilize people to compete in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction; ensure social security; build cultural and spiritual life in rural areas, preserve and promote national cultural identity, conserve and promote the value of historical relics to educate traditions for future generations; effectively carry out the movement for the whole people to join hands in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Fifth: We must strengthen our moral and lifestyle training; be modest, simple, and close to the masses; actively participate in the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity.
