The boss of an inter-provincial drug ring in Nghe An was arrested.
(Baonghean.vn) - After completing his prison term, Nguyen Khac Trung established a large-scale drug ring and personally carried out the steps of purchasing and transporting the "goods" for consumption.
On October 1, Que Phong District Police (Nghe An) said that the unit had just coordinated with related forces to successfully destroy a large-scale inter-provincial drug ring, arresting 1 subject, seizing 3 heroin cakes and 10,000 pills.drugsynthesis with some related exhibits.
Previously, in mid-September 2020, through the work of grasping the situation, Que Phong District Police identified a drug trafficking and illegal transportation ring in the district. Determining that this was a large-scale ring, Que Phong District Police established a special project to fight it.

Going deeper into the investigation, the Task Force quickly identified the ringleader as Nguyen Khac Trung (born in 1970), residing in Dong Son block, Kim Son town (Que Phong). This subject has many previous convictions for drugs. To avoid detection by the police and also to proactively handle all situations, Trung often directly purchased drugs from Laotian subjects in the border area, then transported them himself to Vinh City and Ha Tinh for consumption.
After nearly 1 month of investigation, the Task Force obtained information: On September 30, 2020, Nguyen Khac Trung will rent a car to transport a large quantity of drugs to Ha Tinh for consumption.

At about 4:00 a.m. the same day, when the Kia Soluto car with license plate 37A - 618.51 carrying Nguyen Khac Trung appeared, the working group from all directions rushed in to control and arrest the subject.physical evidence. Seized 3 heroin cakes (weighing 1065.53g), 10,000 synthetic drug pills (weighing 974.5g).
At the investigation agency, Nguyen Khac Trung initially confessed that he bought the above drugs from a Laotian in the border area between Dong Van and Thong Thu communes and was on his way to Ha Tinh to sell them when he was arrested.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate and expand the case.
