Drug lord from Nghe An to northern provinces arrested
(Baonghean.vn) - Determining that the subject would transport a large quantity of drugs from Que Phong to the northern provinces for consumption, Que Phong District Police coordinated with related forces to arrest the subject and 19 heroin cakes that same night.
December 16,Que Phong District Policesaid that on the night of December 15, right after the order to attack and sweep away criminals from the Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, the drug crime prevention and investigation force of the District Police successfully broke up a major drug case, arresting a subject who was buying and selling 19 heroin cakes.

Previously, through professional work, the Que Phong District Police discovered a stranger with a Northern accent who was frequently present in the area, secretly contacted local leaders and showed signs of being involved in drug trafficking. During the investigation, the District Police identified the subject as Tran Van Minh (born in 1971), residing in Canh Nau Commune, Yen The District, Bac Giang Province.

After establishing a special project, experienced detectives were mobilized to fight and eradicate the drug ring led by Tran Van Minh. At 10:00 p.m. on December 15, with information that the subject would transport a large quantity of drugs purchased from subjects in Que Phong to the northern provinces for consumption, Que Phong District Police coordinated with Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police) and the police of Tien Phong and Muong Noc communes to deploy an arrest plan. 19 heroin cakes and 2 mobile phones were seized at the scene.
This is the second project to combat drug crimes right after Que Phong District Police launched a campaign to crack down on criminals. Currently, the police force is continuing to investigate and expand the project.
