In an October 10 New York Times article, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and many other actors accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment. The incident is the latest development in the shocking scandal of the Weinstein film studio boss.
Angelina Jolie said Mr. Harvey made sexual advances toward her in the late 1990s, when her film, Playing by Heart, was released by Miramax, Mr. Weinstein's company. Gwyneth Paltrow has a similar story. In 1994, at the age of 22, she landed a role that would change her life - the female lead in the romantic film Emma. Harvey Weinstein - the producer of this project - invited her to a hotel and asked her to give him a massage.
The star recounted: "At that time, I was just a child, just accepted the role and was stunned. I saw him as an uncle. I refused the offer and revealed it to Brad Pitt - my boyfriend at that time. He questioned Mr. Harvey and then, he wanted me not to tell this story to anyone." Brad Pitt's representative also confirmed this story to the New York Times.
