President-elect Trump has chosen Katie Walsh as his deputy chief of staff, reporting to White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, Politico reported. Walsh previously worked for Priebus at the Republican National Committee and helped raise money for the party.

Meanwhile, Rick Dearborn, who previously worked at the US Capitol, will become deputy chief of staff for legislative affairs, a key position to help move Trump's legislative agenda through Congress.

Mr Trump's transition team also announced yesterday that Joe Hagin, who served in the White House for three Republican terms, will be chief of staff for operations.

Bill Stepien, a former political adviser to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, has been appointed White House political director.

In another notable appointment, the transition team confirmed that Omarosa Manigault, a reality TV star, will work at the White House in the new administration. Manigault, one of Trump’s most prominent African-American supporters, will serve as communications director for the public affairs department.

And Keith Schiller, a longtime Trump security detail, will be the Oval Office's chief of staff for operations.

According to Politico, Mr. Trump will continue to fill senior positions in the administration before his inauguration on January 20.
