US President Donald Trump recently made many harsh criticisms of British Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit strategy during his ongoing visit.

In an interview with The Sun, Mr. Trump said Prime Minister May's plan for the country's relationship with the European Union (EU) after Brexit could "kill" the prospect of a trade deal with the US. Not only that, the US president also assessed the resignation of former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson to show opposition to Mrs. May's plan as an action that makes "a great prime minister."

These new statements by the head of the White House are likely to push the special transatlantic relationship to a new low.

On July 13, the Australian Government announced that the number of migrants entering the country is at its lowest level in the past 10 years, saying this is the effect of a tough immigration policy such as tightening border control and accepting only suitable cases.

Australia's Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton said the number of long-term migrants accepted last year fell by 20,000 compared to 2016, to 162,000. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Dutton emphasized that Australia is ensuring that people come to this country to work and contribute to society, not to receive social welfare, when accepting migrants will help promote the national economic interests.
