Trump explains the causes of mass shootings in the United States
Mass shootings in the United States are linked to mental illness, US President Donald Trump has said.
The White House chief said the gunmen suffered from “very serious mental illness”. He added that the problem of mass shootings had gone unaddressed for years and it had to stop.

In the United States, three mass shootings occurred in the same day. First, due to the attack on the Walmart Mall in El Paso, Texas, 20 people were killed and 26 were injured.
The attacker was arrested: Patrick Krusios, a 21-year-old white American. Before the attack, he posted a manifesto on Twitter supporting the terrorist attack at the mosque in New Zealand in March, and claiming that the US culture and economy were suffering from immigrants.
Then, a shooting occurred in Dayton, Ohio, 9 people were killed, including the shooter, 26 others were injured. The attacker was identified as Connor Betts, 24 years old. Among the dead was his sister.
The third incident occurred at a Chicago playground, injuring seven people. The arrest of the attacker, who was driving a black Chevrolet Camaro, has not yet been reported.
