According to RIA Novosti, US President Donald Trump said on September 12 that his patience with Russian leader Vladimir Putin was running out.

“Well, it’s running out. And it’s running out fast,” President Trump said in an interview with Fox News, responding to a question about whether his patience with the Russian leader was running out.

The presidents of Russia and the United States discussed ways to resolve the Ukraine conflict at a summit in Alaska on August 15. Both Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump described the meeting positively. After the summit, the Russian president announced the possibility of ending the conflict in Ukraine and stressed that Moscow was interested in addressing the root causes of the problem and finding lasting peace.

In a related development, Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said on September 12 that Ukraine has long been trying to expand the geography of the conflict and has not thought about the consequences of such an escalation.

“It is no secret that Ukraine has been trying to expand the geography of the conflict for a long time, without thinking about the consequences of such an escalation,” Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council.

The diplomat noted that the Polish authorities "over the years of anti-Russian sentiment have been ready to support any actions of Kiev, no matter how criminal and reckless they may be, and in every possible way, hoping to harm Russia with their own hands"./.
