Mr. Truong Minh Tuan concurrently holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

The Politburo decided to assign Mr. Truong Minh Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Information and Communications, to concurrently hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Mr. Truong Minh Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Party Executive Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc, Party Secretary, was approved by the National Assembly to be the Minister of Information and Communications in early April.

Mr. Truong Minh Tuan was born in 1960 in Dong Hoi, Quang Binh, is a doctor of politics.

Before being elected as the head of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr. Tuan held positions such as Director of the Center for Ideological Information of the Central Propaganda Department (2007-2011); Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Veterans Association of the Central Propaganda Department (2011-2014); Member of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications (2014-April 2016).

At the 12th National Congress of the Party, Mr. Tuan was elected to the Central Executive Committee./.
