The Telegraph reported that Grylls, a survival expert, recently traveled to Ukraine to film a documentary, where he also met President Zelensky. To “ease the tension” of their first meeting, the host decided to offer Mr. Zelensky a piece of chocolate.

“However, the president's security team was not pleased. They refused the offer and were on high alert for Grylls' unexpected situation for fear of poisoning,” the Telegraph said.

Meanwhile, on the survival expert's side, he was aware of the danger of his actions.

The Ukrainian government has not commented on the matter.

Regarding the situation in eastern Ukraine, Ukrainian Army Commander Oleksandr Syrsky said on March 27 that the country's army is continuing to repel fierce Russian attacks in Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and defend the city.

“The fiercest stage of the battle for control of Bakhmut continues. The situation remains difficult. The enemy has suffered significant losses in manpower, weapons and military equipment, but continues to launch attacks,” Mr. Syrsky said.
