On the afternoon of July 25, Binh Tan District Police (HCMC) examined and took fingerprints from a 7-seat car that had been stolen by two young men.
The car owner, Mr. Tran Chi Linh (30 years old), said that he had just been informed by an acquaintance that he saw his car on Road 36, Binh Tri Dong B Ward - about 2 km from his house. The car had been there since last night. He reported the incident to the police.
Previously, at 2am on July 23, a security camera recorded two young men riding a motorbike stopping in front of Mr. Linh's house on Ap Chien Luoc Street. After observing, one of them took out his tools, opened the gate and went inside, while the other stood guard.
A few minutes later, the thief opened both gates and drove away in the homeowner's car worth about 1.7 billion VND.

At the time the car was stolen, Mr. Linh, his wife and young child were sleeping on the second floor, while his parents were abroad. The victim left the keys and documents in the car, which did not have a GPS.
In addition to reporting to the police, Mr. Linh also posted on social media a video recording the identities and license plates of the two thieves. After seeing these images and comparing them with the car left on the side of Road 36, an acquaintance informed Mr. Linh.
