Domestic cars await… Bangkok Motor Show

The Bangkok Motor Show 2014, which began today (March 26) in Thailand, continues to bring some anticipation to Vietnamese auto consumers.

According to the announcement from the organizing committee, Bangkok Motor Show 2014 has the participation of 35 automobile brands, 9 motorcycle brands and 80 service providers. At this year's exhibition, many new car models have begun to be introduced to the Thai market.

As the production center and also the largest market in Southeast Asia, Thailand is always the first place chosen by automakers to introduce their new products. In addition, with many similarities in tastes, many automakers often apply the same product strategy for the entire regional market, including Vietnam.

While European brands, mainly in the luxury segment, often have their new product plans applied specifically to each market, for American and Asian car brands such as Toyota, Ford, Honda, Mitsubishi or Hyundai, most of their new models will be available in the Vietnamese market after being introduced in Thailand.

Even the Ford Everest SUV, although still in concept form, will soon go into mass production in Thailand and not long after that in Vietnam. This is a multi-purpose vehicle that is highly anticipated by domestic consumers.

Bangkok Motor Show 2014 is expected to take place from now until April 6.
