Pakistan: Gas cylinder explodes on bus, burning 17 students to death.
Seventeen students were burned to death after a gas cylinder on a school bus carrying them exploded in eastern Pakistan on the morning of May 25.
Local police said the accident occurred on the outskirts of Gujrat city, 170km southeast of the capital Islamabad.

At the time of the explosion, there were 24 students and 1 teacher present, 7 of whom were injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
In Pakistan, compressed natural gas is commonly used in many vehicles as a cheaper alternative fuel to diesel and petrol.
A series of previous car explosions have been attributed to substandard gas cylinders used to store fuel.
