The PNA Foreign Ministry said the ambassador would return home on Wednesday. Washington did not comment on the Palestinian diplomatic mission's decision.
Türkiye has made a similar decision. Its ambassador in Tel Aviv will also leave the country. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called Israel a terrorist state and its actions against Palestinians genocide.
Türkiye and Palestine have both declared three days of mourning for Palestinians killed in clashes in the Gaza Strip.
