Panasonic issues projector warning notice to prevent fire hazards.

Japanese electronics giant Panasonic Corp announced on October 17th that it will conduct a free inspection and repair of its liquid crystal display projectors to prevent fires.

Panasonic will recall 41,620 home projectors.

These projectors belong to five models, including the TH-AE200 and LP-Z3, manufactured between September 2002 and December 2005.

The Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer also stated that it has confirmed two cases where projector power cords caught fire due to damaged solder joints connecting the projector and the power cord.
