Pencak silat: Pham Thi Tuoi won the 56th gold medal for Vietnam

On the morning of August 29, martial artist Pham Thi Tuoi won a gold medal in the women's 45-50kg weight category in pencak silat. This is the 56th gold medal of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation (VSD) at the 29th SEA Games.

In the final match, Pham Thi Tuoi completely dominated and won 5-0 against Singaporean boxer Binte Roslan.

Previously, in the men's 50-55 kg weight class, boxer Nguyen Dinh Tuan lost to host country opponent Faizul Nasir 0-5 in the final match, receiving a silver medal.

In the women's 50-55kg weight class, boxer Tran Thi Them won silver medal after losing 1-4 to Indonesian opponent Wewey Wita of Indonesia in the final match.

In the men's 55-60kg weight class, boxer Nguyen Thai Linh won silver medal after losing 1-4 to Thai athlete in the final match.

Weightlifting

In the 69kg weightlifting event, weightlifter Pham Tuan Anh won the bronze medal with a total lift of 306kg. The gold medal went to Deni (Indonesia) with 312kg, and the silver medal went to Thai weightlifter Trirat Boonsuk with 310kg.

Jumping bridge

The Anh Duy/Mai Phuong pair won the bronze medal in the 3m platform diving mixed doubles event with a total score of 234.45. This is considered a surprising achievement because diving is not a strong event of Vietnamese athletes.

Boxer Nguyen Van Duy entered the final of the men's 63kg weight class after defeating Filipino athlete Francis Aaron Agojo 34-17 in the semi-finals.
