Pepsi relaunches the 2021 'Million Meals' journey to spread community strength to overcome the pandemic

April 2020,Pepsihas carried out the "Million Meals" campaign to support the community during the difficult epidemic season by donating and giving away gifts.mealto workers, employees, and students in difficult circumstances to overcome the epidemic. This lightning-fast journey has been present in 18 provinces and cities affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and has given away more than 736,000 "meals" worth more than 11 billion VND to nearly 47,500 people.
Continuing the journey of "Million Meals 2021" so that no one is left behind
Continuing the humanitarian journey, "Million Meals 2021" started on June 24, 2021. This year's program was implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in collaboration with PepsiCo Foods Vietnam (PepsiCo), Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage Company Limited (Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam), CARE International in Vietnam and the Fund for Supporting Social Security Programs and Projects (AFV).
In particular, the PepsiCo global fund alone has sponsored 4.58 billion VND, along with a number of Lay's and Pepsi brand products with a value equivalent to more than 700 million VND. With the participation of CARE International in Vietnam and the Fund for Supporting Social Security Programs and Projects (AFV), the program hopes to receive more support from the community.

In the first phase, the program will prioritize 5 provinces and cities in the epidemic center, including Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Tinh and Nghe An. 240,000 food packages are being delivered to 16,000 people in difficult circumstances, directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, including the elderly, freelance workers, unemployed workers, and students in difficult circumstances.With faith in the strength of the community, we will join hands to help Vietnam soon defeat the pandemic and leave no one behind." shared by Mr. Jahanzeb Khan, General Director of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage Company Limited.
