Peru expels North Korean ambassador
Peru announced the expulsion of the North Korean ambassador because Pyongyang ignored calls from the international community to end its nuclear program.

North Korean Ambassador to Peru Kim Hak-chol has five days to leave, Reuters reported, citing a statement from Peru's Foreign Ministry on September 11.
Peru stressed that it wants a peaceful solution to the North Korean issue and "strictly complies" with resolutions adopted by the United Nations Security Council.
Peru will "make every diplomatic effort to denuclearize the Korean peninsula," the statement added.
The North Korean embassy in Lima declined to comment.
The move comes shortly after Mexico last week expelled the North Korean ambassador to protest Pyongyang's sixth nuclear test on September 3. US Vice President Mike Pence publicly called on Latin American countries to isolate North Korea in August.
