Associate Professor, Dr. Cao Truong Sinh, born in 1963, is Vice Principal, senior lecturer, level II specialist in Internal Medicine - Cardiology, Head of the General Clinic of Vinh Medical University. In 2010, he was awarded the title of Excellent Teacher. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam National Heart Association, a member of the Southeast Asian Heart Association (FasCC), the American Heart Association (FACC), and a member of the World Hypertension Society.

At Vinh Medical University, Associate Professor Dr. Cao Truong Sinh is known as the Vice Principal who always performs well in his management duties. He has presided over the development of undergraduate training programs such as General Practitioner, Nursing University, postgraduate training programs such as ultrasound, electrocardiography, directed faculties to innovate teaching and assessment methods, especially implementing assessment with objective multiple choice questions, conducting serious exams; organized training of 16 classes, more than 650 nurses and caregivers under the GAVI project for districts, meeting the needs of medical human resources and primary health care for the grassroots level. He has also directed the compilation and appraisal of 55 sets of objective multiple choice tests and more than 70 textbooks for teaching.

As a senior lecturer, directly teaching a number of subjects such as Internal Medicine - Cardiology, Clinical Pharmacy of the Pharmacy Department and Anatomy of the Basic Medicine Department, Associate Professor, Dr. Cao Truong Sinh always believes that teaching a profession must go hand in hand with teaching people. For many years, the gentle teacher who is always dedicated to his students has completed and exceeded the amount of theoretical and clinical teaching hours assigned according to the standards of the main lecturer. In teaching, he always innovates methods, applies active teaching methods, puts the learner at the center, and always cares to encourage and help weak students to improve.

For many years, as the Deputy Director of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Associate Professor, Dr. Cao Truong Sinh has directly participated in medical examination and treatment, implementing interventional cardiovascular techniques for pediatric patients in Nghe An, creating conditions for pediatric patients to enjoy high-tech services at reduced costs. In particular, he has directly developed and implemented the Project "Training staff, transferring techniques for treating congenital heart disease in children at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital" which has been highly effective, to date performing interventions for more than 150 cases and performing surgery on nearly 40 cases of congenital heart disease in children.

As the head of the clinic since its establishment, Associate Professor, Dr. Cao Truong Sinh has always devoted much effort to the development of the General Clinic of Vinh Medical University, so that this place is not only a place for medical examination and treatment for the people but also a practice and internship facility for the school's students. In the past 7 years, the Clinic has examined more than 350,000 patients; organized more than 5,000 students to practice, contributing to improving the training quality of the School.

The teacher and physician is also always active in scientific research. He is the author of many scientific topics and initiatives that have been applied in practice and brought about high efficiency. Many outstanding topics such as "Application of information technology in medical examination and treatment combined with teaching at Nghe An Medical College" in 2010, "Research on some solutions to prevent and treat autism in children under 6 years old in Nghe An" in 2013, "Some solutions to early detection and treatment of autism disorder in children in Nghe An" in 2015, "Research on ankle and arm index, pulse wave velocity in patients with primary hypertension using VP Plus machine at Vinh Medical University Clinic" in 2014, "Research on blood pressure changes and treatment effectiveness of lercanidipine in patients with cerebral infarction with hypertension using 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring" applied from 2009 to present at the Department of Neurology - Nghe An General Hospital and Vinh Medical University Clinic.

At the same time, he is in charge of 3 provincial-level projects that have been accepted, is in charge of 1 provincial-level project that has completed phase I and II and is preparing for acceptance, has completed 2 provincial-level experience initiatives, and is in charge of 12 grassroots-level projects that have been accepted. In 6 years, Associate Professor Dr. Cao Truong Sinh has written and published 55 articles in prestigious domestic scientific journals and 1 international article, edited 1 monograph and 2 textbooks for undergraduate and postgraduate training.
