Breaking up a case, arresting 2 subjects with bad personal records, illegally buying, selling, and possessing drugs

On May 18, Anh Son District Police (Nghe An) said that the unit is temporarily detaining two suspects to investigate the act of "Illegal buying, selling and storing of drugs".

The detained subjects all reside in Anh Son district, including: Bui Duc Dai (born 1989), residing in Anh Son town and Hoang Manh Tuan (born 1992), residing in Thach Son commune.

Previously, at 9:30 p.m. on May 13, 2022, in village 5, Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal, economic, and drug crimes, Anh Son district police, Phuc Son commune police, Thach Son commune police co-chaired and coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Nghe An provincial police to successfully break a drug case, arresting Bui Duc Dai for "Illegal possession of narcotics", seizing 8 synthetic drug pills weighing 0.715 grams.

Dai is a serious drug addict with a bad personal history. Although he is quite young, he has 4 previous convictions for the following crimes: Theft, Gambling, and Illegal possession of drugs.

Struggling from Dai's testimony, in the process of expanding the case, on the morning of May 14, 2022, the authorities successfully arrested Hoang Manh Tuan for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking", seizing 252 synthetic drug pills weighing 22.405 grams.

Like Dai, Hoang Manh Tuan is a drug addict. More notably, Hoang Manh Tuan's brother-in-law, Pham Van Tuan, was also recently arrested by Anh Son District Police for "Illegal possession of narcotics".

At the investigation agency, both suspects initially denied their crimes. However, faced with convincing evidence and sharp arguments from the investigators, Dai and Tuan had to bow their heads and admit their crimes.

Currently, Anh Son District Police are continuing to fight and expand the project.
