Cockfighting ring busted on the 4th day of Tet, 47 suspects detained along with nearly half a billion VND
Police have detained Nguyen Dinh Dong and 46 suspects involved in gambling activities, 70 motorbikes, 3 cars, 8 fighting cocks and more than 400 million VND.
On February 19 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), a working group of the Criminal Police Department (CSHS) of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police coordinated with Ninh Hoa Town Police with the support of the Mobile Police, suddenly raided and caught red-handed a gambling den in the form of cockfighting in Chanh Thanh village, Ninh Tho commune.
This gathering place is owned by Nguyen Dinh Dong (40 years old), residing in Ninh Hiep ward, Ninh Hoa town, located inside a large mango garden.
