Ambulance smashed, forcing driver to turn around
The patient's family destroyed the ambulance, threatened to beat the driver, and forced him to go to a hospital in Nghe An for examination.

At around 6:30 p.m. on November 16, Mr. Hien, from Nghen town, was taken by relatives to Can Loc District Medical Center with facial trauma and a broken jaw due to a traffic accident.
30 minutes later, Mr. Hien was given a referral, an ambulance was dispatched, a driver was arranged, and a nurse was assigned to accompany him to Ha Tinh General Hospital for treatment.

According to authorities, the car had traveled more than 10 km when it reached Thach Ha district when Mr. Hien's family members loudly shouted, used a hard object to break the windshield between the driver's cabin and the patient's bed compartment, and then questioned "why were you taking me to Ha Tinh?" This person threatened the driver, demanding that the car turn around and take Mr. Hien to a hospital in Nghe An for examination. The driver then had to comply with the request and change the schedule.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Sinh - Director of Can Loc District Medical Center said that according to the procedure, the patient is being treated at the unit, if there is no request when transferring to the hospital, he will be transferred to Ha Tinh General Hospital. At the time of signing the transfer paper, Mr. Hien's family did not ask the doctor which medical facility he would be transferred to next, so the staff followed the procedure, transferring him from the district to the province.
"The incident damaged the ambulance, and the driver and nurse were shocked. During the night, the unit reported to the local police to make a record," said Mr. Sinh.
