Prisoners catch thieves with police

(Baonghean.vn)- While being escorted by police to a labor reform camp, prisoner Nghia heard people shouting to catch the robber and immediately rushed with the police to catch the robber.

The incident happened at 3:00 p.m. on February 20, in a vegetable growing area in Vinh Xuan hamlet, Hung Dong commune, Vinh city.

While leading the prisoners to work, Senior Lieutenant Dau Vinh Thanh (officer of Nghi Kim Detention Center) heard people shouting about a robbery. Immediately, Senior Lieutenant Thanh and prisoner Le Duy Nghia rushed to arrest the subject.

Just a few minutes later, the robber was subdued and captured. He confessed his name was Nguyen Van Hai (born in 1985, residing in Hung Thinh hamlet, Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district). During a quick search, the police seized a necklace that Hai had just robbed from a woman in the area.

Currently, the subject Hai has been handed over to Vinh City police for investigation.
